Uganda Telecommunications Corporation (UTel) has launched a fleet of motorbikes to support staff movements during field operations and enhance the efficiency of service delivery across its areas of operation.
The initiative is aimed at making it easier for staff to access customers, respond to service-related needs and carry out field assignments more efficiently. By providing a faster and more flexible means of transport, UTel expects to improve response times, particularly for assignments that require staff to reach customers and service locations promptly.
Speaking during the launch, UTel Chief Operations Officer, Maggie Lutwama, encouraged staff to embrace and make good use of the motorbikes as a tool for improving operational efficiency and customer experience.
She urged staff to use the bikes responsibly and strategically, noting that faster movement in the field would contribute to quicker resolution of customer needs and ultimately strengthen service delivery.
The initiative further demonstrates UTel’s commitment to improving its operational capacity and putting in place practical solutions that enable its teams to serve customers more effectively.
With the introduction of the motorbikes, UTel is looking to strengthen its field operations, reduce delays in responding to customer needs, and build a more responsive and efficient service delivery culture.
